Chelsea-legend

Strikers scores goals, while the midfielders run, fight and create chances for the teammates.
Apart from Frank Lampard: He did it all.
Lampard has just stopped his carrier. He scored 302 goals from a position on the midfield for Chelsea. He played more than 600 matches for The Blues from Stamford Bridge - and altogether more than 1.000 matches on top level.
Frank Lampard Jr. (Junior), which his real name is, because of the fact that his dad is called Frank Lampard too (okay, not very inventive…) has of course had a distinguished fighter heart and a top tuned talent for scoring goals, but he does also have a secret weapon:
“You have to work as a striker, think as a striker and train as a striker”, says the midfielder himself.
When the team’s training was finished, Frank Lampard stayed in the field and was taking an extra training with skittles, the ball and a goal.
Here he always played he was the striker, who was supposed to decide a close finale.
Just like you maybe have tried to imagine a world championship finale, when you play and train football alone or with other players.
For Frank Lampard it worked: As goal scoring midfielder he played 106 international matches for England and won 11 big trophies with his clubs, which apart from the most of the time in Chelsea also was West Ham, Manchester City and New York City FC.
