It is summer, the season is over, the cups have been distributed.

Back to news

Many of us football freaks are already excited and a little impatient awaiting next season in the biggest leagues and with the biggest players.
New matches – and on new goals to cheer about.
In professional football one thing is more valuable than anything else: goals.
And by the way, putting the ball in the back of the net is also the best part for a lot of players from the five-year-old on the first day of training at the sandbox team to the 70-year-old Super Veteran.
Who was the best of last season in the big leagues?
The answer is probably not the big surprise: Lionel Messi.
In 34 matches for Barcelona in the Spanish league, Messi scored 37 goals – thus becoming top scorer in Spain and in all of Europe’s five biggest leagues, which count Spain, England, Germany, Italy and France.
The top scorer list in ‘Big-5’ looks like last season:
1. Messi 37 goals 2. Edinson Cavani (PSG) 35, 3. Aubameyang (Dortmund) 31, 4. Lewandovski (Bayern) 30, 5. Luis Suarez (Barca) Harry Kane (Tottenham) and Edin Dzeko (AS Roma) 29 goals.
In top football you will also count assists on goals and Messi 12 had last season.
Thus, the small great Barca superstar brings up 49 goals + assist points – and he is also number one.
And here are the other top stars on that list:
Messi 49 goal + assist, 2. Luis Suarez 44, 3. Edin Dzeko 41, 4 Edinson Cavani 39, 5. Dries Mertens (Napoli) 39.
What about Cristiano Ronaldo, you might think? The Real Madrid star is ‘only’ number 13 on the top scorer list, but, on the other hand, he was sharp in the crucial phase of the Champions League. But that is a completely different story. This is about the leagues, and the goal-champion here is Messi.
