Cristiano dropped out of school – and won the football

‘Mom, I don’t want to go to school anymore – I only want to play football.’
It isn’t something a 14-year-old Danish boy has to suggest his parents, but Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro did that.
He did simply not had the time to train as much football as he thought was necessary – if he also had to go to school.
Already as 12-year-old was the little Cristiano Ronaldo moved 1.000 km across an ocean and away from the birth-island Madeira to Portugal’s capital Lisbon to play at Sporting’s talent-academy.
As a 16-year-old he reached to play for Sporting’s U16, U17, U18-team, until he was promoted as a senior player and made his début for the B-team – and shortly after for Sporting’s first team – in the same season.
The wonder-boy turned into a world star, and he has been that for over 10 years.
But he’s still the first player outside when the team trains – and the last one inside after.
CR7 is simply a super-athlete.
And then he has just had something of a super-week:
Monday: Cristiano Ronaldo won Ballon d’Or.
Thursday: Cristiano Ronaldo scored his club goal number 500.
Sunday: Scored his hattrick number 40 for Real Madrid. And og well, won the club World Championship.
