The exercise trains the players’ balance on a soft surface, which adds an extraordinary challenge to their movements in balance adjustment, along with strengthening their ankle-joints and hip joints. Focus on use of the arms and keeping balance with both right and left leg. The players’ counter-movements are challenged extra by an up-sloping surface.
The coach demonstrates the exercise and instructs the players on use of arms. The players do the exercise in 5 modules. Between each module, take a break of minimum 1 minute.
Soft and challenging surface
Add a further challenge by stretching the elevated leg or by keeping eyes closed. Add returning a thrown ball using kicks - kick with the elevated leg.
