In this exercise the players practice their left/right coordination with the ball while focusing on changing direction using the outside cut in small spaces. The exercise provides the players with a good tool to act in small spaces in their efforts to achieve a versatile movement pattern in dribbles, turns, and feints.
The coach demonstrates the exercise. After that, the players go through the course 4-5 times. Then you evaluate the players' experiences - emphasise the good examples - and the players once again go through the course 4-5 times. You should especially pay attention to the pace. In order to succeed, let the players start out slowly and the increase the pace. Another important part of this exercise is to tell the players about the importance of the low centre of gravity along with having a good left/right coordination with the ball. Depending on the players' level, you could start out by doing the exercise without the ball to reach better body control with the ball.
6 cones and 1 ball per player
You could end the exercise with a shot.
