Focus

The instep drive is a very important tool in order to succeed in qualified shooting, both far away and close to the goal. In this shooting exercise the instep drive is combined with a simple build-up play pattern.

Instructions

First, the coach demonstrates, after that the players begin. The central player passes to the attacker, who - after feinting - passes the ball at the right angle, allowing the central player to shoot. After this, the central player and the attacker swap positions. The coach is aware of speed and accuracy in the push pass, along with the style of the instep drive (focus on the ball, location of the arms, angle-joints, and supporting foot). You can vary between the right and left side during build-up play, leading to shots using both left and right foot.
