Tippe-Top Hat

Level 2

Global rating:

Focus

In this inviting course the players are going to practise their dribble skills, a selected feint (in this example the Laudrup-feint) and their shot. The Tippe-Top Hat exercise is a good exercise motor skills-wise, since it offers many exciting challenges and can be adjusted to the players' individual levels (speed while dribbling, choice of feint, along with type of kick).

Instructions

The coach demonstrates how to do the exercise and points out the main focus areas. The players go through the exercise 3-4 times. It might be a good idea to add a short break to ask the following questions: What should you keep in mind while you are dribbling? What can you gain by using a good feint? Which part of your foot do you use to kick the ball when you shoot?
