The exercise trains the players’ balance on a soft surface, which adds an extraordinary challenge to their movements in balance adjustment. Focus on use of the arms and keeping balance with both right and left leg. The players’ counter-movements are challenged extra by a down-sloping surface.


The coach demonstrates the exercise and instructs the players on use of arms. The players do the exercise in 3-4 modules. Between each module, take a 1 minute break.

More ideas

Add a further challenge by stretching the elevated leg or by keeping eyes closed. Add returning a thrown ball using kicks - kick with the elevated leg.
