Shots close to the goal using full volleys and instep pass are the focus of this exercise. To give the players a good body-wise awareness of executing the correct kick, they start out by doing “shadow shots”.
The coach demonstrates and explains the exercise with the players. Each player works with 3 x 3 repetitions, first without the ball, afterwards with. 1 minute break between each interval. Swap servers regularly. Depending on player-level, you could do the exercise using half volleys instead.
